Finding the right size kilt

How to size yourself for a kilt

As surprising as it might seem, your kilt size is not your pants size.

Kilts sit a bit higher than pants do, right above the hips, and just below your belly button. Use a fabric tape measure to measure around your waist, just below your belly button and above your normal waist line. This will give you your kilt size. It is best to go up two sizes in even numbers to allow for a more comfortable fit. For example, if you have a 32" waist,, you should go for a 36" kilt. A wide belt is a great addition to fashion and will allow for the kilt to stay up and not ride down your hips.
